Speaking a bit about the movement, the Cartier Calibre 1904-PS MC that powers this wrist flattering watch is the watchmaker’s first manufacture caliber that has some sort of similarity with the ETA 2892-A2, but, it is slimmer, and having a small seconds hack instead of central sweep seconds.

Just like most of automatics, it does gain a bit of time, but still, it considerably accurate and has a generally well-balanced rate for a non-chronometer grade --in which, our rated daily average is around 6.4 seconds fast. The movement itself is beating at the harmonic rhythm of 28,800 alterations per hour, features 27 jewels and a single barrel that when fully wound, providing an approximately 48 hours of power reserve. In addition, this satin finished Cartier’s 4mm slim mechanical manufacture movement also offers some aesthetic as well, by featuring perlage and côtes de Genève decoration finishing that can be enjoyed via the watch’s exhibition caseback.

Just by a glance, you can easily tell that this 42mm Calibre de Cartier W7100051 is indeed an elegant wrist accessory. The watch looks great with suits and formal attires alike, and it also spare some versatility to be paired with something that are more relaxed as well. Its construction as well as the reliable movement inside are fairly rugged so that you don’t have to treat it like such a delicate timepiece, while its 30m water resistant simply makes it even more practical to wear. Well, it is true that 30m is quite "basic", but you wont wear such steel-gold on leather watch while swimming, right?
