Cartier W7100041 42mm Calibre de Cartier Automatic for men

This handsome luxury watch is one of the brand’s Calibre de Cartier collection for gents, which to be exact, it is the updated version of the Cartier W7100014 that made its first debut at the SIHH 2010 event at Geneva back then. Speaking of which, their only obvious difference lays on the dial’s "XII" markers --and their MSRP.

Just like every luxury timepieces made by the renown Richemont’s subsidiary jeweler and watchmaker, this wrist flattering watch is simply beautiful, inside out. Superbly built with quality materials and components for longevity, finely sculpted with such precision craftsmanship, and offering more than just flawless details, its design construction also account the aspects of ergonomic for comfort.

Its hefty round case that is made of stainless steel and finished in fine brushed and polished measures 42 mm in diameter --in which, the widest part of it in the mid-section is actually 45.05 mm wide, and approximately 9.64 mm thick. Meanwhile, its supple yet supportive Black bracelet that is made of genuine alligator leather and comes equipped with a steel made double adjustable deployant buckle is tapers from around 22 mm to 18 mm wide. Overall, this timepiece’s weighs around 91.5 grams, and as expected from such luxury watch, it does feel solid and sturdy.

The back of this handsome timepiece is transparent, featuring sapphire display that allowing you to take a look at the Calibre 1904-PS MC housed inside, and is secured by a steel plate that is held in place by 8 screws, and is engraved with all the watch’s general information around. At the other side, its face is decently protected by a domed scratch resistant sapphire crystal that in addition to makes the construction even more durable, also offers an appreciable continual clarity. Furthermore, at the right hand side, there lays the high polished heptagonal steel crown that is typical to Cartier, sets with Blued faceted sapphire. And by having 30 m water resistant, you can be sure that this beauty wont be easily damaged by slight wetness, nor fog through time and use.

The Face. One of this Calibre de Cartier W7100041 timepiece’s most attractive part is its face. Bold in Black, the dial is fashioned with contemporary style, detailed and has a well balanced layout arrangement. Of course, its read-ability is also quite good as well. On the dial, there are sword shaped Silvered oxidized-steel hour and minute hands with SuperLuminova, an applied Silvered oversized "XII" Roman hour marker with SuperLuminova fill, three of smaller luminous Roman numerals on both of the "XII" sides (I, II, III, IX, X, XI) and applied sticks markers with SuperLuminova on the remaining hours, framed date aperture at 3 o’clock, along with framed subsidiary small seconds counter with Silver tone hands and White markers. And as an added aesthetic, its inner bezel is decorated with a subtle Clous de Paris accent.

Calibre 1904-PS MC. Speaking a bit about the movement, despite of being non-chronometer, the Cartier Calibre 1904-PS MC employed by this watch is a good automatic movement that is quite accurate and reliable. This watchmaker’s first manufacture caliber has some sort of similarity with the ETA 2892-A2, but, it is slimmer, and having a small seconds hack instead of central sweep seconds. It contains 27 jewels, beating at 28,800 alterations per hour, and provides around 48 hours of power reserve. Just like most of automatics, it does gain a bit of time, in which, our rated daily average is around 6.4 seconds fast which is good enough for mechanical timepiece. In addition, this satin finished Calibre 1904-PS also offers an enjoyable aesthetic as well, that can be seen via the caseback: perlage and côtes de Genève decoration.

Anyway, for all of its quality offerings, this men’s Stainless steel on Black alligator leather bracelet Black dial Cartier Calibre W7100041 luxury wrist watch is offered at a reasonable original manufacturer suggested retail price of $7,100.00.
